New country director for UNDP Somalia
NAIROBI – UNDP Somalia is pleased to announce today the arrival of its new Country Director Alvaro Rodriguez.

Alvaro Rodriguez joins us from UNDP Pakistan where he has served since 2007 as the Country Director Alvaro has worked for UNDP in various countries namely, Kenya, China, Thailand, USA and Pakistan for the last 18 years.
During his assignments with UNDP Pakistan Alvaro Rodriguez was involved with the ONE UN Reform as Pakistan was one of the pilot countries.

The new Country Director takes over when Somalia is in the midst of political and humanitarian crises and is one of the countries which is struggling the most to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
