Human Resources

Human Resources provides personnel support to all units of UNDP Somalia by helping to prepare terms of reference and vacancy announcements, and assisting with recruitment, issuing contracts, evaluating performance, and assessing training/learning needs.  It also provides specialized HR training to relevant staff.


The HR unit manages the benefits and entitlements of fixed term and service contracts holders, maintaining an up-to-date personnel database and acting as custodian of individual personal files.


Addtionally,  it provides advisory and support services to management and staff, helping in corporate-directed programmes related to performance management, workforce planning, succession planning and career management and – together with  Finance - is responsible for the payroll administration of UNDP staff members and partner UN Somalia agencies.


HR also provides policy advice on compensation management, organizational design, performance management services, services related to operations.
