Private Sector Development Initiatives


This project supports initiatives aimed at reducing poverty and hastening Somali economic recovery and achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. The project encourages the emergence of a viable private sector in Somalia by promoting inclusive market development through business councils and entrepreneurs, supporting an inclusive financial sector and microfinance and; helping the Somali livestock and meat export sector to advocate for a more conducive environment for private sector development and opportunities for public private partnerships. This project is also expected to significantly contribute to conflict de-escalation and promotion of peace in Somalia.
