Nine districts across Puntland launched milestone frameworks laying out their development priorities for the next five years at an event in Garowe, supported by the United Nations Joint Programme on Local Governance (JPLG). Bosaso, Gardo, Bander Bayla, Eyl, Garowe, Jariban, Galkacyo, Burtinle and Goldogob’s district frameworks were developed through extensive consultations with over 180 villages and communities.

At a high-level event in the capital Mogadishu, the 2018 Humanitarian Response Plan, seeking USD 1.5 billion to address the needs of 5.4 million people, was jointly presented with a Recovery and Resilience Framework (RRF).
